I first became involved in working with the special needs community because of my lifelong exposure to my dad’s pioneering work with The Guided Tour, Inc., a supervised vacation program for adults with special needs. From the time I could walk, I was going on Guided Tour trips with my dad, and spending a lot of time with our adult population. As I became older and started leading trips, I began to truly understand the importance of working with individuals with special needs. Today, I direct The Guided Tour and continue to carry out my father’s work.

In 1998, my wife Abby and I welcomed our first child, Zachary, into our family. Zachary had special needs and was a camper at CLM for many years. Zachary enhanced my first-hand knowledge and understanding of what it is like to be a parent of a special needs child. His life reinforced my mission of providing a growth-producing, memorable life experience for our campers with special needs.

I received a degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!), and a Master of Social Work from Temple University. When I am not at camp, I live in South Jersey with my wife, Abby.

Hey there! I’m Lynsey, and I have been at Camp Lee Mar since 1998! I started out as a general counselor and I currently work year-round for Camp, interviewing new campers and families, hiring staff, and planning each exciting summer. I work hard to ensure each camper’s program is tailored to their individual needs, and I am in close contact with parents throughout the summer.
My daughter, Maddie, was born in 2010. Despite having worked with the special needs population for a decade, hearing Maddie’s diagnosis of autism was not easy. I can truly empathize with CLM Parents, which is why I love communicating and making sure they are comfortable with everything happening at camp.

Lee Mar has played such a pivotal role in Maddie’s growth, and it is incredibly important to me that every camper has an amazing experience at camp, just like she has had.

I received a degree in Music Therapy from the University of Wales, and a Post-graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Manchester. When I’m not at camp, I live outside Philadelphia with my husband, Don (whom I met at Lee Mar), and our three daughters.
