Embedded throughout the Camp Lee Mar program, campers have multiple opportunities to work on their activities of daily living skills (ADLs). The Camp Lee Mar experience allows campers to learn and develop these skills incidentally by observing the skills happening around them. Other skills can be developed through counselor led activities that target specific skills areas.
Self Care – Personal Hygiene
Counseling staff are there to support and help develop required skill areas.
During our family style meals, campers learn and practice dining etiquette. Campers develop and use skills in the areas of maintaining table manners, passing food around the table, usage of utensils, and help clean up after each meal.
Taking Care of Personal Space
Campers learn to take responsibility for their belongings and with support, keeping their bunks tidy. This includes keeping track of their personal belongings, making their beds, folding and sorting clean laundry, vacuuming, etc. Each week the cabin with the best effort is awarded the coveted Lee Mar Lion award!
